The details and what’s in them

There are lots of hairy details, the more you plan the hairier they can get. Like realizing there may be family or friends you don’t want there (that’s okay, we ALL have those members of the family, and that’s a whole other blog post so back to my point!!!) The details I’m referring to are the ones that seem to often get pushed aside or forgotten about. I’m talking about things like the favorite perfume he likes when he smells it on you, or a funky pair of socks, or a cigar he wants to smoke to celebrate with his boys. These little tiny things all add up to a day that will be packed full of memories to last a lifetime. They also tie you together with your spouse in ways you may not have experienced before. Take the time to learn about each other. Is there something you’ve always seen yourself doing at your wedding, or maybe something you don’t see yourself doing? It could be a karaoke song (yep, a bride belted her fave song one time at the reception and it was impressive). Does the groom really want Chick-Fil-A for the meal? What little things can you do to make your day stand out to each other. Is it a gift? A letter? A sneaky kiss? It could be custom suspenders or a bowtie. It could be a note on the bottom of each others shoes. Dig deep make the other one cry so you can wipe away the tear.
